Depth in the NBA isn’t necessarily the most important thing in the postseason but during the regular season, great depth can help you earn home court advantage in the playoffs. Several teams have attempted to build great depth and there may be no team that has done it better than the Los Angeles Clippers.

Alex Kennedy of Hoops World believes the Clippers are the deepest team in the NBA.

"I’d say the Clippers are the deepest team. Jamal Crawford, Spencer Hawes, Jordan Farmar, Glen Davis, Ekpe Udoh, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Reggie Bullock, Hedo Turkoglu, etc. is a very good bench. Also, as we saw last year, they are very attractive to players who get waived during the season since they have championship aspirations, an excellent market and a player-friendly coach. That means their already-deep bench could get even better during the year."

After adding Spencer Hawes and Ekpe Udoh in free agency, the Clippers may have the league’s deepest front court (although the Chicago Bulls have the best trio in Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson). They also have the Sixth Man of the Year in Jamal Crawford and several other veterans coming off the bench so Kennedy has a point.
