Now, Rick Ross wants to get in on the fun. The rapper told Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 FM in New York that he is trying to become a part-owner of the Florida franchise.

From MTV.com:

"“I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things,” the rapper told Angie Martinez on Power 105.1. “You know, I’ve been interested in trying to buy a small percentage of the Dolphins for some time. They finally invited me into the office. I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation.”He did make one mistake during the meeting, though.“When we left, they offered me to walk out through the field,” he said. “It was sprayed for the game the following day. So I walked out on the field, I didn’t know they just sprayed, I was a little excited, and I just dragged my foot through it.”"

Ross also described his meeting with the Dolphins as a “positive situation” and said the team “ultimately decide if the time is now” in regards to his possible ownership.

Ross was raised in Florida and is known to be a big supporter of Miami and its sports teams, so this parternship actually makes sense. The Dolphins clearly enjoy having celebrity owners and Ross clearly wants an ownership role with his favorite NFL team.

Ross has released six albums throughout his rapping career, five of which have peaked at No. 1 in the Billboard 200.
