Georgia RB Todd Gurley has been suspended by the school on Thursday for a violation of NCAA rules

Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley has been suspended for a violation of NCAA rules, the school announced on Thursday afternoon. Just a short time ago, the school sent out a release, officially announcing the news of the suspension.

"University of Georgia tailback Todd Gurley has been indefinitely suspended from competition by the UGA Athletic Association during an ongoing investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules.“I¹m obviously very disappointed,” said UGA head football coach Mark Richt. “The important thing for our team is to turn all our attention toward preparation for Missouri.”"

Right now, the Bulldogs are in the hunt for the SEC East title and a potential run toward the SEC Championship game and Gurley is the front runner for the Heisman Trophy in most peoples’ opinions.

This news certainly comes as a shock, especially since Gurley has done such a good job throughout his career of keeping his name out of the negative spotlight.

So far this season, the junior running back has rushed the ball for 773 yards and eight touchdowns on 94 carries. In the win last weekend over Vanderbilt, Gurley also completed the team’s longest pass of the season, once again solidifying the fact that he is the most talented player in all of college football.
