On Sunday Night Football, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz suffered a severe knee injury that will knock him out for the remainder of the regular reason, according to initial reports.
Immediately after Cruz went down with the knee injury and was seen screaming in pain, NBC reported Cruz had suffered an injury to his patellar tendon.
A very emotional Cruz was helped onto the cart and taken to a local hospital.
In a great showing of sportsmanship and class, the Eagles and Giants players circled around Cruz for prayer.
The Giants have yet to provide an official update on Cruz’s status, so this will remain a situation to monitor.
