ESPN’s College GameDay was in Tallahassee this past Saturday for the Florida State Seminoles and Notre Dame Irish, but they’re moving just a few miles west to Baton Rouge to cover this upcoming Saturday’s game between the LSU Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels.

The location for this week’s College GameDay was revealed by the show’s producer, Lee Fitting.

Ole Miss is on a roll this year, sitting at No. 3 in the Top 25 and in a position to make the postseason this year. A lot can happen between now and then though as we’re not even out of October yet and already teams like Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State have fallen back.

LSU is a prime example of this, as they’re currently out of the Top 25 and looking to play spoiler this year rather than contender. That’s the role they’ll be in on Saturday, as in a season where you’re not going to win much, upsetting conference foes when they’re at the top of their game are the victories you want.

Ole Miss still has to watch Florida State and Mississippi State sit above them in the Top 25, but a loss at this point in the year is that last thing they need as teams like Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State may have fallen back but are looking to pounce on the next opportunity to make it back into the playoff picture.

College GameDay will kick off bright and early on ESPN next Saturday from Baton Rouge.
