The Seattle Seahawks reportedly approached the Denver Broncos with a trade offer in which they would have received tight end Julius Thomas in exchange for Percy Harvin.

John Elway probably hadn’t laughed that hard since he was a little boy.

Trades during the season are a rarity to begin with in the NFL. Teams are cautious about shaking things up when they have already invested so much time and energy in game plans and strategy with their current group.

The Denver Broncos probably feel fine about the current state of their offense. Superstar tight end Julius Thomas is a big reason for that fact, what with his nine receiving touchdowns in five games of action.

Thomas has been one of the most dominant offensive players in football this season. No, the Broncos will not be trading him, and certainly not for former Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver Percy Harvin.

According to Adam Schefter, that is the deal that the Seahawks offered to the Broncos.

Seriously, I wonder how quickly Elway hung up the phone.

You know that jerk in your fantasy football league who always offers you garbage trades? He claims it is just part of his negotiation strategy, but really he is just hoping you will accept it on accident or something. He knows it’s junk, and he’s just being a pest.

It would appear that the Seahawks are that guy.
