It was a big day for the
.
The Redskins benched Kirk Cousins in favor of veteran Colt McCoy and he provided the spark the team needed, leading them to a 19-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The Redskins march 76 yards on 10 plays in 3:14 to set up a 22-yard field goal by Kai Forbath with just one second left on the clock.
However, instead of celebrating, the 2-5 Redskins are worried they may have lost one of their best players for the season. According to Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington, Redskins outside linebacker Brian Orakpo injured his pectoral muscle and will be having an MRI on Monday.
"The Redskins were hoping for the best, but bracing themselves for some potentially bad news regarding outside linebacker Brian Orakpo, who suffered a pectoral muscle injury late in Sunday’s 19-17 win over the Titans. The team fears Orakpo suffered a partially torn right pectoral muscle and will miss playing time. The 28-year-old is set to have an MRI on Monday morning to determine the full extent of the injury."
Brian Orakpo’s injury is to his right pectoral. He injured his left pectoral back in 2011 and again in 2012. Brian Orakpo was injured early in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game.
If he tear his pectoral, he will end the season on a very low note. He had just one tackle and one quarterback hit on Sunday and would finish the season with 23 tackles and only 0.5 sacks.
