The SyFy original movie
was a phenomenon. Everyone knows the plot. A really bad storm blows sharks all over the city of Los Angeles and the citizens must do what they can to survive. That classic tale.
Sharknado inspired Sharknado 2, which took us to the east coast so New York City could feel the wrath of the flying sharks. Many wondered if Sharknado 2 could deliver the goods after it moved across the country and that questioned was answered almost immediately. Not only did the sharks take on Citi Field early in the flick. Of course, they topped that later in the movie when Biz Markie killed a shark and Tara Reid replaced her hand with a buzz saw (You can relive all of the action with the 24 best GIFs from Sharknado 2 here).
SyFy again looking to capitalize on the success immediately advertised Sharknado 3, simply saying the sharks would be hitting “another city” in the summer of 2015.
There has been a lot of speculation about where the next film will take place and there have been strong hints that Washington, D.C. would be the next place to take on a sharknado.
Turns out, not only will our nation’s fine capital be battling sharks, but the entire eastern seaboard will be feeling it.
SyFy president Dave Howe announced Washington, D.C. will be getting “what it deserves” and the sharks will also be making their way into the ultimate vacation destination – Orlando, Florida. They are referring to this area of the country as the “Feast Coast.”
It will be interesting to see how April Wexler (Tara Reid) and Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) react to potentially having to save the president and Mickey Mouse in the same movie.
Plus, there are rumors Vanilla Ice will be appearing in the movie, which could make Sharknado 3 the best flick of this epic trilogy.
