free agency this summer. After all, since he teamed up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, the Heat played for the title in all four years, including two championship victories.

However, LeBron James bolted in favor of a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and many figured Chris Bosh would be the next one out. The Houston Rockets, who failed to sign Carmelo Anthony after clearing the cap room to do so, offered him a four-year deal to team up with Dwight Howard and James Harden.

Instead, Chris Bosh returned to the Heat on a giant five-year deal. He believes everyone else would have done the same.

“It’s always business,” he said via Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel. “Nothing is ever personal. I think 100 percent of those dudes would have taken the deal I took.

“It’s not always about money,” Bosh said. “But you do want your full market value. If you work your butt off to get to a certain point, you want to be rewarded for that.”

For as much as Chris Bosh has been criticized (and most of it was undeserved), it is good to see him being honest, admitting that he simply wanted the best deal possible.

Chris Bosh averaged 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 51.6% from the field, 33.9% from three and 82.0% from the free trow line last season. In his career, he’s averaged 19.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 49.8% from the floor, 31.0% from three and 80.0% from the charity stripe.
