Cleveland Cavaliers’ Lebron, Kevin, Kyrie Get SI Cover
By Scott Allen
The Cleveland Cavaliers big three of Lebron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving give team their first Sports Illustrated cover in five years
Who else would you expect to be on the NBA Preview cover of Sports Illustrated other than the Cleveland Cavaliers? It was only the biggest NBA story of the entire offseason. To some it might have been the only story.

So, now all of us NBA fans get to see the faces of James, Love, and Irving in a Cavs uniform every time we need to consult our 2014-2015 NBA Preview issue. It should come as no surprise to anyone. Anything short of a trip to the NBA Finals this season and many would consider that a disappointment.
Expectations are high in Cleveland and rightfully so. However as we’ve seen in the NBA and other sports, spending money doesn’t guarantee championship. It took Lebron two years with the Miami Heat to win a championship. Luckily no one with the Cavs are making any guarantees.
Now, if the Cavs fail, do they blame the popular SI cover curse? It’s happened to many and although no one has or will ever be able to prove there is any correlation between the two, usually you make the cover because of what you did or currently doing or what people think you can accomplish. If you fail after hitting the cover, then it must be a curse, right?
Either way, get ready for a lot of Cavs basketball to be thrown down your throat, like it or not.
