Tim Tebow believes that Florida’s struggles are the result of leadership and identify problems.

The Florida Gators are in the midst of a terrible season. After an embarrassing 42-13 blowout loss at home to Missouri, the Gators, typically one of the best teams in college football, are just 3-3.

Why have things gone so wrong for the Gators once again? Well, former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow let his answer to that question be known to Jacksonville sports radio station 1010 XL

From ESPN:

"“I don’t think the offense has an identity right now, and I don’t think that they know what they want their identity to be,” the former Florida quarterback said on Jacksonville sports radio station 1010 XL. “One of the biggest problems on the offense is leadership.”(…)“[The Missouri loss] was tough to watch,” Tebow said. “If you’re a Gator fan, it was not easy to watch. They just didn’t play with the heart that I’m used to watching Florida Gators play with.”"

With so much turmoil surrounding the Florida football program as a result of their struggles and the possible imminent firing of their head coach Will Muschamp, it’s certainly fair to wonder whether this team has any shot of correcting the multiple problems that Tebow identified.

Still, Tebow, for one, is not ready to give up on this team.

"“Maybe they can rally around the ‘our backs are against the wall’ mentality. … They need to get hyped and play with a chip on their shoulder when they come to Jacksonville.”"

The Gators take on the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs at EverBank Field in Jacksonville on Nov. 1.
