The 2o coaches named to the list are a relative who’s who of coaching royalty with the likes of Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, JImbo Fisher and last year’s winner, Gus Malzahn named to the list.

The SEC and the Big 12 had five coaches named to the list with the Pac-12 receiving four nominations, the Big Ten having two, the ACC, AAC and Conference USA each receiving one coach apiece.

Here is the full list of coaches:

Who do you think is the front-runner for the award this year?

If it were up to me and the vote had to be in today, my pick would be for Dan Mullen for the job he’s done at Mississippi State and leading the team to the No. 1 ranking after beginning the year unranked. Second place would be his rival at “The School up North” where Hugh Freeze has Ole Miss ranked No. 3 in the top 25 and boasts the nation’s No. 1 scoring defense.

The winner of the Bear Bryant Award could go to the winner of the Egg Bowl when the Bulldogs and Rebels meet in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on Nov. 29.
