About being on the injury report, Hillman seemed to be in denial that he had any problems.
“No, I’m not, I’ll be at practice [Thursday]. So, I mean, I plan on being at practice [Thursday],” Hillman said, via ESPN.com. “I don’t know what they’re talking about. But I’ll be fine. It’s nothing that I can’t deal with.”
Hillman has run for 283 yards on 58 carries over the last three weeks, which is much more productive than what Ball was doing before he got hurt.
It doesn’t look like the Broncos need to worry about Hillman though as he seems to be recovering well and isn’t worried about missing Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots in a key conference battle.
The Denver Broncos are 6-1 headed into the game against the Patriots who are 6-2 and on a four game win streak. The Broncos are third in passing offense in the NFL but 21st in rushing offense. Without Hillman and Ball, their offense may struggle against the Patriots, but it looks like Hillman should be ready to go.
