Madden 15: Week 9 Roster Update

EA Sports continues to craft the Madden 15 gaming experience to rival the on field NFL action, here’s how things change for week 9.

With eight weeks of NFL action in the books, it’s now on to week 9 action. To prepare Madden 15 for continued real life replication in the game, Donny Moore has once again retooled the player ratings and rosters for the next week of NFL action. With some big performances last week, there are some big boosts.

The Patriots put up some huge numbers on the Chicago Bears and the Steelers played an incredibly surprising offensive slugfest with the Indianapolis Colts. With a handful of big name players have career days, let’s check out who is getting the biggest boosts in Madden 15 this week.

First up, Rob Gronkowski had a monster day. Catching nine passes for well over 100 yards, Gronk was a big reason the Patriots were so easily able to dispose of the Bears. Gronk is now sitting at 98 overall, going up two total points. He also sees a rises in STR: (+1), AWR: (+1), CTH: (+1), CAR: (+1), RBK (+1), BCVision (+3), SFA(+5), SPC (+2), CIT (+1) and RTE (+2).

The Steelers put touchdowns up in bunches and did so on the arm of Ben Roethlisberger‘s career day. A six touchdown effort got definite notice and raises Big Ben’s overall rating to 93, a three point upgrade. Ben also gets boosts in AWR (+2), THA (+3), TAS (+1), TAM (+3), TAD (+4) and PAC (+5).

Looking at another notable risers we have:

Martavis Bryant – WR – PIT (+5 to 72 OVR)
Jeremy Maclin – WR – PHI (+3 to 89 OVR)
Zach Mettenberger – QB – TEN (+2 to 70 OVR)

Players dropping are:

THREE DOWN
Doug Martin – HB – TB (-3 to 81 OVR)
Cam Newton – QB – CAR (-2 to 89 OVR)
Richard Sherman – CB – SEA (-1 to 98 OVR)

Yes you read that right, Richard Sherman is no longer a 99 overall player, leaving only Peyton Manning and J.J. Watt as 99 overall players.
