The Denver Broncos moved to 7-2 on the season with an easy 41-17 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

However, the Broncos struggled early on. The Raiders held the Broncos out of the end zone in the first quarter and took a 10-6 lead with 11:19 left in the second after a 5-yard pass from quarterback Derek Carr to receiver Brice Butler.

But the Broncos jumpstarted their offense late in the second quarter. Running back C.J. Anderson took a short pass from quarterback Peyton Manning and turned it into a 51-yard touchdown with 2:44 left in the half.

Denver added another touchdown with just over 30 seconds before intermission via a 32-yard pass from Manning to receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

The Broncos then piled it on in the third quarter. Manning threw three touchdown passes in the third frame (two to tight end Julius Thomas and one more to Sanders) that gave Denver a 41-10 lead heading into the fourth.

Carr added a garbage time touchdown to tight end Mychal Rivera with 48 seconds left in the game to round out the scoring.

Manning finished with 340 passing yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Anderson rushed for 90 yards and receiver Demariyus Thomas led the team with 108 receiving yards.

Carr threw for 192 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Darren McFadden was the team’s top rusher with 14 yards and Rivera the team’s top pass-catcher with 64 yards.

The Broncos remain in sole possession of first place in the AFC West with the victory. The Raiders remain in last place in the division at 0-9.
