Cale Chimera is the cutest nightmare the Washington Capitals have ever experienced

Jason Chimera isn’t the first NHL player to bring his kid on the ice with him.

It was funny enough watching Matt Cooke’s kid announce that he skipped school on national television when his dad won the Stanley Cup- kids really do say the darnedest things.

Cale Chimera, though, might truly take the cake.

During a recent Washington Capitals practice, the six-year-old Cale ran the players ragged- and not for the first time.

"“I stay away from him,” Karl Alzner said to NBC Washington. “He has too much energy for me. If he’s anything like his dad, he’ll be able to go for days.”"

The kid, who first got to hang with the players when he stood in net for them at the ripe age of four, looked suspiciously like Honey Boo-Boo with his Gatorade bottle (which, apparently, his mother does NOT approve of- yet his dad gave it to him on camera? Good going, Papa Chimera).

He then displayed his true demon side when he intentionally sprayed Alex Ovechkin with a water bottle.

THAT’S BOLD. I WOULD NEVER DARE.

The Capitals practices are apparently more useful for the young Chimera than one might expect- he plays for the local squirt league, and gets to go on the ice with the guys on a semi-regular basis.

Absolutely adorable. Of course, I say that because he’s not my child.
