Radio superstar Howard Stern opened his show this week by taking a shot at comedian Bill Cosby as the comedian deals with rape allegations.

Howard Stern didn’t just take a shot at Bill Cosby. He took a blowtorch to Cosby’s character in the midst of multiple allegations that Cosby drugged and raped multiple women.

Not everybody will be interested to hear what Stern has to say about the situation given his own background and some of the subject matter he engages, but in the end, this is an entertainment giant delivering a full-blown take-down of Bill Cosby. Here is a bit of what Stern had to say, as passed along by Uproxx.com:

"I love that this guy … let’s say that this stuff is true … this guy’s the biggest hypocrite in the world. Every minute he’s giving a morality lesson to comedians and everyone else, and he’s “America’s father” and blah blah blah…"

Stern then went on to compare this situation to cases where preachers have gotten in trouble for sexual misconduct. These are altogether uncomfortable topics to engage, but that is the power of Howard Stern: he is not afraid to get after it when other people want to stay away.

The fact that Bill Cosby is dealing with such ugly allegations is a sad topic for a lot of people. Maybe we needed somebody to get mad and call this what it is.
