Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch Appealing $100K Fine
By Phil Watson
Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks is appealing the $100,000 fine he was assessed Wednesday for failing to comply with NFL media policy.
Marshawn Lynch apparently thought $100,000 was a beastly penalty for violating the NFL’s media policy and plans to appeal.
Lynch, the Seattle Seahawks running back/Skittles connoisseur/battering ram, plans to appeal the penalty.
Lynch’s agent, Doug Hendrickson, told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio of the planned appeal.

According to Hendrickson, Lynch called NFL Media reporters Mike Silver and Michael Robinson from the team bus after realizing he had left the locker room area without talking to reporters there.
One of the points Lynch made while talking to Silver and his former teammate, Robinson, was an explanation for why he remained on the sidelines at halftime rather than returning to the locker room, explaining that he “couldn’t walk.”
Lynch ran for 124 yards on 24 carries in Seattle’s 24-20 loss Sunday to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Lynch was fined $50,000 last year for violating the same policy, but the league at that time opted to defer collecting it, but vowed to double it if Lynch violated the policy again.
Perhaps if he promises to repeat “focusing on (insert name of next opponent here)” after each game, the NFL will rule in his favor on the appeal.
Lynch has 813 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground in 10 games this season and has topped the 100-yard mark in each of the last two games.
