Jerry Jones thinks Tony Romo never winning a Super Bowl would be the most negative thing about his time as owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys got a big win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, thanks to a late touchdown pass from quarterback Tony Romo to wide receiver Dez Bryant. It was just another reminder how clutch Romo actually is, despite his reputation.

Romo hasn’t had a whole lot of playoff success though, winning just one game. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, after the Giants win, that if the Cowboys didn’t win the Super Bowl with Tony Romo under center, that would be the biggest negative of his career.

“It will be, I think, the most negative thing about my ownership in my mind if Tony has a career here and we don’t win a Super Bowl,” Jones said, via Fox Sports. “To have his talent come through this organization and we not get to a Super Bowl … he’s outstanding and he’s outstanding at winning games, coming from behind. … If we don’t do that while he’s active, it will be the biggest disappointment for me.”

Jones’ tenure as Cowboys owner started off well, winning three Super Bowls in four years beginning in the early 90s. Since then, the Cowboys have struggled to find any kind of success in the post season. The Cowboys are off to a solid start this season and are considerably healthier than they’ve been in recent years, this might be the season that the Cowboys could rectify that and make a deep post-season run.
