Snoop Dogg Says USC ‘Hurt Its Chances’ Of Recruiting His Son
By Cory Buck
Rapper Snoop Dogg said his son, a superstar high school receiver, hasn’t decided on a college yet and that USC isn’t the presumed top choice anymore.
Snoop Dogg is about the biggest USC football fan you’ll find out there, but that doesn’t mean his son is a shoo-in to don cleats for the Trojans. When asked by TMZ what college Snoop’s son, high school superstar Cordell Broadus, was leaning toward playing football for, Snoop deferred to Broadus, but also noted that USC didn’t help its chances by losing to cross-town rival UCLA yet again in a 38-20 romp last week.

“He’ll make his decision … but like I’ll say that loss right there gon’ hurt,” Snoop said. “Because nobody wanna go to no school that can’t beat their rivals.”
It especially helps Broadus re-evaluate his prospects because he is so highly coveted. He’s reportedly been recruited by major football powerhouses like Notre Dame and LSU, as well as party powerhouse ASU.
But few took those schools seriously because USC has had so much talent over the years and has been such a favorite in the Dogg household. It seems though that loyalty only gets you so far when you can’t put up big wins in meaningful games, as the Trojans may soon learn if they fail to attract the son of one of their most famous fans.
