Villanova’s Jayvaughn Pinkston had what will probably be the block of the year on Tuesday night in the win over Michigan.

The Villanova Wildcats and the Michigan Wolverines took to the court against one another on Tuesday night, and the game itself was everything that it was expected to be, and then some. When it was all said and done, Villanova walked away with the 60-55 win, thanks in large part to the defensive efforts of Jayvaughn Pinkston.
Not only did Pinkston provide the highlight of the young college basketball season thus far, but it was absolutely filthy.
With the game tight late in the second half, Michigan had an in bounds play to try and get themselves the win. In actuality, they drew up a pretty nice play that would be able to get them right back in it.
However, Pinkston had other plans.
ALL. BALL!
That was just straight up nasty and you will probably not be able to find a better blocked shot the rest of the year. It doesn’t matter that we have a lot of time left in the season, it’ll probably take a miracle for someone to beat this effort by Pinkston.
Defense in basketball is not dead, and this is proof.
