Friday night the Oklahoma City Thunder are taking on the New York Knicks, and quite frankly, all eyes are on one man tonight and that man is Russell Westbrook, who is making his return to the court.
Oh, and did he ever make his presence known on Friday night in a big way.
Not long after the game got underway, Westbrook found himself with the ball in the left corner. He saw some openings in the Knicks defense, and well, he took advantage of it.
Watch in the video below as Westbrook slices through the Knicks defense and finishes off the drive with a powerful slam.
Now that is the Westbrook that everyone has been wanting to see, especially the Thunder.
Westbrook has been out since the second game of the season and it’s pretty obvious that he provides a boost and spark that this Thunder team has been looking for since he left. There are few players in the league that you just can’t replace, and Westbrook is one of them.
But one thing is for sure and that’s Westbrook looked like he’s been holding that drive in for a long time.
