Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino really showed on Saturday that he takes these rivalry games seriously.
The Cardinals are taking on the rival Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, and of course, there were some words that were exchanged before the game even got underway. It all started when the Kentucky players went to the middle of the field and stomped on the Cardinals logo, which the Louisville players would not have.
So from there, as you can predict, a scuffle ensued between the players.
Oh yeah, and Petrino got involved too, getting into a scuffle with a Kentucky coach. No big deal.
Hey, this rivalry stuff is serious business for Petrino, we noted that before.
Back in the day when Petrino first coaches the Cardinals, playing Kentucky was generally an easy outing. But during this tenure, given the rise of Kentucky recently, things are going to get even more heated as the games between these two become more competitive.
