Kendrick Perkins To Rudy Gay: Rather Be Clown Than Virus
By Phil Watson
In a war of words that’s been going on for more than a month, Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins has fired back at Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay.
Kendrick Perkins and Rudy Gay are probably not exchanging Christmas cards this month.
They’re way too busy exchanging insults.
A month-long war of words between the two veterans continued before the Oklahoma City Thunder played at Phoenix Sunday, when Perkins was asked to respond to comment from Gay, the Sacramento Kings’ forward, that Perkins was a “clown.”
From ESPN.com NBA writer Royce Young:
Young even found time for a little snark:
That flurry from Perkins came from this comment from Gay given to Blake Ellington of Sactown Royalty on Saturday:
And that all came from a game between the Kings and Thunder on Nov. 9, when Perkins had less than kind things to say about Sacramento.
And it all becomes relevant because the Kings and Thunder will play again on Tuesday.

So there is a logical sequence to this thing after all.
One can only assume Perkins is referring to Gay being traded away by both the Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors, followed by marked improvement by each team.
Silly? Sure, but still fun. Grown men calling each other names?
Waiting for Gay’s response to have something to do with “I know you are but what am I?”
