Jameis Winston will have  a big decision to make in the coming weeks about whether he should declare for the 2015 NFL draft or return to Florida State for his redshirt junior season, but whatever he decides, his head coach, Jimbo Fisher won’t be surprised.

Will he stay or go?

That’s the question facing Florida State and their Heisman winning quarterback Jameis Winston who has yet to lose a game in college and is two wins away from a second straight national championship.

The assumption is Winston will forego his final two years of eligibility with the Seminoles and declare for the 2015 NFL Draft where he could be the first overall pick. Whether he stays or goes Jimbo Fisher won’t be surprised and plans to talk to his star player about the process very soon.

"“Jameis loves college football, but I think he’s going to be one of the top two players drafted,” Fisher said in an interview on “Mike and Mike.” “He’s got to make a choice. He’s got to see what he wants to do. But it would not shock me either way.”"

Winston was listed as the No. 2 overall pick in the mock draft by Todd McShay earlier in the week and Fisher would understand if his star quarterback left after this season despite his love for the university and college experience.

“I understand if he wants to go, when a guy’s that high and you’re doing what you do,” the coach said. “But remember, he’s a very, very good student. He’s very smart. He loves baseball. He loves his time in college. He loves all the interaction of this, believe it or not. So it would not shock me either way.

“We’ll have the discussion here pretty soon.”

Meanwhile, Winston and Fisher have bigger things on their plate as they prepare to take on No. 2 Oregon in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day in the College Football Playoff and try to extend their 29-game winning streak against the Ducks and 2014 Heisman winner, Marcus Mariota.

With a win Florida State will play the winner of the Sugar Bowl between Alabama and Ohio State where Winston could finish his college career with a perfect 31-0 record, two national titles and a Heisman Trophy.

That’s a pretty attractive resume for an NFL draft prospect despite the concerns team have about his off-the-field behavior.
