Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly Arrested For Scuffle With Police
By Jack Crosby
Former Clemson and current Ole Miss signee Chad Kelly was arrested on Sunday for getting into an altercation with police.
Chad Kelly is in trouble again, although this time he may have taken things a little too far.
While home near the Buffalo area, Kelly was arrested for scuffling with police after he was being thrown out of an establishment, according to Buffalo News. Kelly was being evicted by the bouncers when he then apparently became belligerent and fought with them. After thew police arrived, he scuffled with them as well.
At one point, Kelly made some pretty scary remarks to the bouncers, alluding to the fact that he would be coming back with a gun to take care of business.
"Kelly continued to fight with two bouncers and stated “I’m going to go to my car and get my AK-47 and spray this place,” according to a report."
The quarterback was released without bail, although he is facing a plethora of charges including third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing and criminal mischief.
Kelly was the quarterback for the Clemson Tigers for the past few seasons, however he was dismissed from the program this past spring. Just recently he had signed on to play with the Ole Miss Rebels after he spent a year at the JUCO level.
It might be safe to say that Kelly’s career with the Rebels might be short lived, especially if the Rebs are smart. This young man clearly needs some help.
