The Lions and Packers will be going at it head-to-head with the division title on the line next Sunday, as will the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. The winner of those two games will clinch the NFC North and NFC South, respectively, with the Arizona Cardinals already having locked up the NFC West.
Detroit, Green Bay and Arizona have all locked up playoff spots with Dallas, Seattle, Carolina and Atlanta all hunting the final three playoff spots in the NFC. If the postseason were to being today, the Cardinals and Lions would own first-round byes with the Panthers hosting the Packers and Cowboys hosting the Seahawks.
Dallas beat Seattle earlier this season, which makes the meeting between the two a rematch, with the Packers and Panthers playing in a rematch as well. Green Bay can leap into that first-round bye and the No. 2 seed with a win over the Lions and the Seahawks can win out and win the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Here’s a look at the current NFC Playoff picture through the Week 16 early games.
