DeMarco Murray Misses Christmas Practice With Illness
By Josh Sanchez
As the Dallas Cowboys put their fina. preparations on Week 17’s matchup against the Washington Redskins, star running back DeMarco Murray has missed time because of an illness.
The Dallas Cowboys have alread earned a playoff berth and the NFC East championship, so they could be afforded the luxury of resting some injured starters for the regular season finale against the division rival Redskins on Sunday.

Whether that is the strategy the Cowboys take remains to be seen, but there will be plenty of factors along the way.
One player who could benefit from some time off is star running back DeMarco Murray, who leads the NFL in rushing and played in last week’s game despite having surgery just a few weeks prior.
Luckily for Murray, he received some time off on Christmas, but not for the reason he would have wished.
According to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, Murray was just not feeling well.
“He is not here today,” Garrett said, via the team’s website. “He was here earlier. He is sick so we sent him home.”
Considering Murray played just days after surgery, it is hard to imagine a little illness will keep him off of the field for the final week of the season.
