Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller showed off his blazing fast speed with a 97-yard touchdown run versus the New York Jets on Sunday.

Lamar Miller is one of the fastest running backs in the NFL and that elite speed was on full display Sunday against the New York Jets.

In third third quarter, with the Miami Dolphins up by just three and on their three-yard-line, Miller took a handoff from Ryan Tannehill out of the shotgun for 97 yards to the house.  Miller didn’t make any special moves; he simply hit the hole and outran every single Jets defender.

Watch a GIF of the play below:

The 97-yard rush was the longest in Dolphins history and pushed Miller over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season, the first time he’s reached such plateau in his short career.

As Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press pointed out, it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen a run like the one Miller just pulled off.

That, folks,  is how you close out a season properly.
