The Miami Dolphins may not have made the postseason, but they have a best selling quarterback when it comes to Ryan Tannehill and his jersey sales.

Ryan Tannehill is not a quarterback who gets a lot of love from analysts, but he’s a former first round pick who is finally starting to settle into his role with the Miami Dolphins. The guy who played quarterback at Texas A&M before Johnny Manziel is starting to carve out a name for himself in the NFL.

Tannehill almost lead the Miami Dolphins to a playoff berth this season and his play helped save the job of head coach Joe Philbin for at last another season. With everyone coming back to build on the 8-8 season the Dolphins put together, fans are really starting to get behind the team and specifically Ryan Tannehill.

According to DICK’s Jersey Report, Ryan Tannehill lead the Miami Dolphins in jersey sales this year, as he finished the season with the No. 48 best selling jersey of the 2014 season. Tannehill accounted for most of the Dolphins overall sales in jerseys, with wide receiver Brian Hartline finishing No. 102 overall.

Hartline and Tannehill were the only two Dolphins players to rank inside of the Top 150 players in the NFL but that could all change next season when the Dolphins step up their game even further.

Tannehill’s popularity is great for the Dolphins brand recognition, as it’s hard for some NFL teams to get on a national level and get their product out there, but Tannehill is an ambassador for that and his high level of play will only continue to see  his jersey sales numbers rise as more and more No. 17 jerseys are seen around he Miami area in years to come.
