The Green Bay Packers improbable run to the Super Bowl ended in Seattle, and Vikings fans were quick to troll their division rivals.

After a season that at times was a bit rocky, the Green Bay Packers were in a position to make it to Super Bowl XLIX but are instead to footnote of one of the most amazing playoff comebacks in NFL history. After leading 19-7 with just over four minutes left in the game, the Packers not only gave the Seahawks hope late in the game but they ultimately gave them the win.

It’s a pain that many NFL fans just to the west of Green Bay have experienced all too well over the history of their franchise, as the Minnesota Vikings live and breathe on heartbreak. Even when they have all the Green Bay Packers pieces, like Brett Favre, they still only set themselves up for pain.

The Packers collapse on Sunday afternoon was cathartic for Vikings fans still reeling over the 1998 NFC Championship game and the 2009 NFC Championship game. Both were matchups that the Vikings were in a position to easily win and clinch Super Bowl berths and both have become to two most painful moments in Minnesota sports history.

Needless to say, Vikings fans were first in line to troll the Packers for their Minnesota-style meltdown.

It may be self depreciating in every way, but the Packers getting trolled by Vikings fans for being too much like the Vikings is a perfect way to wrap up the season in the NFC North.
