In the AFC Championship, the Patriots were accused of deflating the balls before the game.
Both head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have deflected any responsibility, claiming they had no knowledge of the incident until the Monday following the matchup.
The latest NFL issue has ignited a wildfire of #deflategate press, drawing attention from even a White House spokesman.
The emergence of the locker room attendant suspect leaves one to wonder whether the Patriots are simply throwing somebody on the grenade. Was he acting of his own accord? Or who gave him the command?
The jury is still out.
In the meantime, the Patriots are beginning to enter their final week of preparation leading up to Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
