Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise lost a part of himself on the ice

Hockey is a tough sport, which involves getting hit at full speed and having to hit others for 60 minutes a night for 82 games a year.

One of the most common things in hockey is for players to get their teeth knocked out.

When the Minnesota Wild took on the Edmonton Oilers, left wing Zach Parise, was the next in a long line of hockey players to receive a badge of honor when he had his tooth knocked out.

Parise’s teammates initially think he is hunched over in pain, which he might have been, but Parise is a tough guy and a hockey player, and it appears he was just picking up his tooth off the ice.

Many who lose who their teeth while playing the game, wear it as a badge and play toothless and let the world see their battle wounds. Parise, like those that came before him, can now honor their legacy by playing toothless and being proud of this hockey achievement.

Now, Parise may be picking up his tooth as some sort of memento to remember, or he’s waiting for the tooth fairy.

Parise, took another step as a hockey player last night. The captain of Team USA now has the vintage look of a hockey player, and a good look at that.

Who needs the dentist anyways?
