Bill Belichick discovers human emotion on Letterman (Video)

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to discuss DeflateGate among other issues.
Bill Belichick appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and did some crazy stuff. For one, he smiled and laughed. For another, he displayed a sense of humor. Already thrown off and wary, we watched on as Letterman posed a conspiracy theory as it pertained to the AFC Championship Game.

That’s actually a little awkward because Dave is a noted Indiana man who is clearly a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, who were drubbed by Belichick’s New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
Instead of grilling Belichick in humorous fashion, he kind of joins in with Belichick in chiding his team for bringing up the controversy in the first place. Come on, Dave. You’re a fan! Ignore the rational and make your digs.
Belichick’s responses to Dave are pretty classic here, in truth. His deadpanned ‘No’ to Letterman to start the video, which is great. Plus the ‘as footballs get colder’ line from his press conferences was perfectly delivered.
Letterman concludes with a tongue-in-cheek conspiracy theory, which prompts Belichick to quip that the team will have to bring Dave in to testify as the league investigates the Patriots for allegations that team members deflated footballs below legal levels.
