The Los Angeles Kings faced the Calgary Flames on Thursday night at the Staples Center in L.A. It was the Kings who came away with the big 5-3 win, but it wasn’t all fun and games throughout the night.
Just ask Kings netminder Jonathan Quick.
Quick was upset following one of the Flames’ goals, because he believed his opponents interfered with him on the play.
So, what did he do?
Naturally, Quick decided to smash his stick across the crossbar of the net. Jonathan Quick struck the post and his poor stick snapped right in half.
Just check out Quick’s little outburst for yourself:
It is understandable to lose your temper if you feel you were wronged, but Quick had the last laugh as his team went on to win, 5-3. But maybe, just maybe, there was a something deeper that caused Jonathan Quick to snap.
I mean, did you see those horrifying canary yellow uniforms the Kings had to wear on Thursday night? Those things could push anyone’s buttons.
