Michigan wide receiver Devin Funchess showed off a little bit of his basketball and leaping ability recently

The NFL Scouting Combine is coming up later this week, and just given his size alone and his resume from his college days, Michigan wide receiver Devin Funchess is expected to be one of the people that do very well in the vertical leap portion of the event. At 6’5″, it’s a pretty safe bet that he’s going to be one of the top vertical leap performers.

Well, despite that fact, he wants to show everyone that he’s a superior jumper, and he did so pretty much the only logical way one can: Dunk a basketball.

On his Instagram account Sunday, Funchess posted this pretty awesome video that shows him not only showing off that leaping ability, but proving that he could fare very well in a dunk contest as well.

OK, barring some sort of unforeseen circumstances, Funchess should definitely be finishing within at least the top 10 of the vertical leap in his position group in Indianapolis.

While “listed” as a tight end during his time at Michigan, Funchess will more than likely be pushed out to the wide receiver position in the NFL, something that he proved he could do in Ann Arbor with the way they used him at times.
