Upset 76ers fan update Wiki page with Satan
By CM Towle
The Philadelphia 76ers blew up their team at the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, and one fan is very very upset about it.
The 76ers didn’t just lose Michael Carter-Williams and K.J. McDaniels Thursday at the trade deadline, they also acquired Satan as their President and General Manager and some guy named Hitler as their head coach. At least, according to a Wikipedia update obviously made by a disgruntled fan.

The owners don’t matter because they’re all stupid, or possibly they can only do what Satan tells them to do.
In case you missed it, the 76ers traded Carter-Williams to Milwaukee in a big three-team trade. They also sent McDaniels to Houston and picked up disgruntled Denver center JaVale McGee. A major rebuilding plan seems to be underway in Philadelphia. The 76ers GM Sam Hinkie, aka Satan, is eschewing short-term success in order to pick up a bundle of cheap young talent and lots of draft picks.
His plan is obviously to have a cadre of future stars later down the road. Assuming the draft picks and young players turn out to be something. It wasn’t like the 76ers weren’t already heading down the draft road anyway. They have one of the worst records in the league and are pretty much in the running for yet another top-three draft pick. A story by Business Insider lists the 76ers draft pick status for this year so far.
"– Their own draft pick, projected top three– The Lakers’ draft pick (top-five protected), via the Suns from the Carter-Williams trade– The Heat’s draft pick (top-10 protected), via last summer’s Thaddeus Young trade– The Thunder’s pick (top-18 protected), via the JaVale McGee trade"
That gives the 76ers a good haul for this year and if they don’t get the picks in this draft, they can transfer it to next year, albeit with reduced protection.
Carter-Williams was hardly having a good season, shooting 38 percent from the field, 26 percent from three and then turning the ball over four times each game. His future with the Sixers has really been in doubt since last year’s draft when Philadelphia picked another point guard.
The McDaniels move was more surprising considering his strong play so far this season. But the move was likely about finances. The Sixers knew they were in a weak position to negotiate a new contract for McDaniels considering his strong play this season.
Sixers fans just need to hang tight and hope the rebuilding pays off.
