Tekele Cotton throws a sick windmill dunk home (Video)

Wichita State guard Tekele Cotton decided to get his name into the conversation of Dunk of the Year today on this beauty against Northern Iowa.


As basketball fans we recently were privy to a semi-rebirth in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest thanks to Minnesota Timberwolves youngster Zach LaVine.

His lanky fluid motions created some of the best ball movement dunks you’ll ever witness – behind the back and through the legs especially.

Today, Wichita State guard Tekele Cotton to provide a little ball fluidity during a big college hoops game against Northern Iowa.

In a huge game for both mid-majors, #11 Wichita State found themselves up 10 late in the game against #10 Northern Iowa.

Cotton decided to put his own flavor on ending this game emphatically:

As you can see, he decided to go with the very high-risk windmill jam off of two feet, after a brilliant full length pass found him wide open down the floor.

Cotton’s team went on to win the game 74-60 and improve to a very nice 27-3. The loss for Northern Iowa sends them to an identical 27-3 record.

In addition to one of the better dunks of the season, Cotton finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists for the dangerous tourney team known as the Shockers.
