The New York Jets traded for Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall on Friday, but Jets fans took to Twitter to welcome Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall instead in another case of mistaken identity.

Brandon Marshall is the newest member of Gang Green after the Chicago Bears traded the former Pro Bowl receiver to the New York Jets for a fifth round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The move saves the Bears a ton of money on the salary cap as new general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox remake the roster in their first season in Chicago. Meanwhile, the Jets add a proven receiver who had more than 100 receptions and 1,000 yards the previous two seasons before an injury-plagued 2014 season.

Marshall’s presence will allow the team to release Percy Harvin and should draw some of the attention away from last year’s free agent prize, Eric Decker, and help Geno Smith continue his development under center.

But there’s just one small thing that’s a problem here. Jets fans are welcoming Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall to the team via Twitter and not their new receiver.

Sometimes Twitter can be difficult and you confuse the handles of the receiver, @BMarshall, and the linebacker, @bmarshh54.

The linebacker Marshall tweeted out his frustrations over Jets fans joining the Bears fans who are blowing up his mentions. Maybe he should just change his name to @DenverBroncosLBBrandonMarshall?

Nah, he’d still get plenty of mentions after the receiver drops a crucial pass or disappoints some poor soul’s fantasy team.
