Gisele Bundchen to retire from runway, Tom Brady approves
Victoria’s Secret model, and wife to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen is set to retire from the runway according to her agent.
I know for some, it is hard to imagine Gisele Bundchen having a career before she became the wife to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, not to mention the mother of his children. However, before she was the most well-known cheerleader for the Patriots, Ms. Bundchen made quite the name for herself struttling the catwalks of the fashion world in Victoria’s Secret lingerie.

Now, as reported by Cameron Wolf of Complex.com, Gisele has informed her representatives that she plans on retiring from her runway work and focusing more on special modeling gigs and spending more time with her family. Her sister, Patricia Bunchen confirmed the the report.
The 34-year-old Bundchen was introduced to Tom Brady as a blind date in 2006 and the two were married in 2009. The couple since have had two children together, Benjamin Rein Bundchen Brady (Age 6) and daughter Vivian Lake Bundchen Brady (Age 3), and the children have often been seen in tweets from Gisele wearing Patriots gear and rooting on their father as he led the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl victory in February.
And while she has seemed like the ideal fan on the sidelines, Gisele has also been known to blast her husband’s teammates from time to time, including famously roasting the team’s receivers after the loss in Super Bowl XLVI.
"“My husband can not f—— throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”"
She’ll have plenty of time to work on her fanhood now. The world has been gravy for Bundchen, who signed a record-breaking $25 million contract with Victoria’s Secret in 2000 and has been featured in campaigns from Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Christian Dior, and more, and even appeared in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada.
However, Gisele will still have some work on her plate, you know, because she has to help put food on the table. She signed a 5-year, $25 million deal with Under Armour to model womens’ apparel. In the meantime, she’ll continue to remind us just how fun she can be, including fun Instagram shots like this.
