N.C. State’s Cat Barber continued his outstanding play in the NCAA Tournament with an unbelievable all-around play Friday night.

Few players have raised their profiles more in this year’s NCAA Tournament than Cat Barber. In fact, Barber has been one of the most integral players for the Wolfpack as they pulled off a remarkable comeback last Thursday against the eighth-seeded LSU Fightin’ Tigers and then the outstanding upset of No. 1 seed Villanova Wildcats.

In his first two games, Barber averaged 15 points on 44 percent shooting from the floor to go along with 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. But little of that is as impressive as the play Barber made late in the second half of the Wolfpack’s Sweet 16 matchup with the Louisville Cardinals.

With Barber lying on his back, he managed to haul in a tipped rebound after getting tied up with Louisville guard Terry Rozier. While on his backside, he was able to find his teammate–senior guard Ralston Turner, another key player in the Wolfpack’s run through the tournament.

Turner spot up right on the 3-point line, free throw line extended to hit the relatively open shot while Rozier desperately tried to distract him at the end of his shot.

The made 3-pointer gave North Carolina State a five-point lead which Louisville cut to two going into the half.
