Duke center and top NBA Lottery prospect, Jahlil Okafor, airballed a free throw against Gonzaga

Duke and Gonzaga are battling in Houston in a game where every point mattered as a spot in the Final Four was on the line. Duke’s most exciting player and top NBA prospect, Jahlil Okafor, made a gaffe at the free throw line on Sunday.

At the beginning of the second half, Okafor went to the line to shoot free throws to increase Duke’s advantage over Gonzaga.

Duke had rallied to retake the lead from Gonzaga after the Bulldogs took the lead early on in the half.

Standing at the free throw line, Okafor airballed a free throw that hit absolutely nothing.

The center had struggled on the line Sunday, having missed more than just that one free throw.

Okafor’s strength isn’t shooting free throws as he is just a 51 percent free throw shooter on the year.

While Okafor didn’t look exactly stellar from the free throw line, he picked it up defensively, crashing the glass for rebounds and creating a presence in the paint to keep the Bulldogs out.

Luckily for Okafor, he will have plenty of time to work on those free throws as his career progresses.
