The Philadelphia 76ers inflatable mascot “Franklin” was up to some hijinks Monday.

Mascots are fun, wacky and a great source of crowd entertainment. Some teams even have inflatable versions of their mascot. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of those teams as they have an inflatable version of their mascot, Franklin, who is a blue dog. Franklin is also aptly named after Ben Franklin, a true pioneer in the Philadelphia area.

Monday night, the inflatable version of Franklin was up to some tricks as he had fun with the fans that were sitting court-side.

The inflatable dog, walked straight up to the crowd and proceeded to spray everyone in the front row with silly string.

It appeared to have shot rapid fire straight at the people as well.

Even more disturbing, it appears the silly string is coming from Franklin’s neck.

This isn’t the first time and it certainly won’t be the last time that a mascot plays pranks on the fans.

Usually it’s the fans of opposing teams that get covered in some mysterious substance. Tonight it was all the fans who payed premium prices for the best seats at the Wells Fargo Center that ended up getting covered in silly string.
