TV station’s Cubs game intro is a masterpiece of mistakes (Video)
The Chicago Cubs are a mess, their stadium renovations are a mess and apparently their local television graphics department is run by the Three Stooges.
Spelling is important. There’s a reason it’s a class of its own in elementary school. You never know when you might be making graphics for a TV station and need to know how to properly spell things.
If you spell everything right, your graphic won’t attract much attention beyond people thinking that it’s cool and creative. On the other hand, if you don’t spell the words right, you run into a situation where your graphic goes viral for all the wrong reasons.
That’s what has happened to ABC 7 in Chicago, as their Cubs intro for television broadcasts is about as big a mess as their stadium renovations are.
Didn’t spot all the mistakes?
How about the Mariners mistake. The people of Seattle are not going to be happy, first they lose the Sonics and now this?
That’s is also going to really piss off the Oakland A’s. The Giants won’t let them move into San Jose because it’s part of the Giants’ territory, but they’ll let the Mariners just pick up and move right into the city itself?
Let’s slow things down a bit.
Ah, good old Milwalkee. Where people Mil-walk from place to place, because they don’t need cars.
George Washigton is perhaps our greatest President, so it’s only natural that there would be a team named after him.
The extra N is for extra Not Caring About Spelling.
