There are some athletes that you watch live and you can just tell that you’re watching greatness before your very eyes. Lately, that’s the feeling everyone gets when they watch Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, and he added another chapter to his legendary tale on Thursday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Up 2-0 in their Western Conference series against the Pelicans, it appeared as if the Warriors were set to drop their first game of the series, falling behind by as many as 20 to Anthony Davis and crew. It would not have been the end of the world, as they’d still be up by a game, but it would have been a setback nonetheless.

Well, Curry didn’t feel like dealing with any setbacks, so he did something about it. He ended up dropping in 40 points by the time all was said and done. With six minutes to go in the game and Golden State down 17, Curry really turned it into overdrive and it eventually ended up leading to a Warriors Game 3 win.

Again, this was yet another example of why Stephen Curry is probably the MVP of the league, and you can re-watch his amazing performance below.
