Noted comedian Artie Lange slammed certain members of the Philadelphia Eagles when TMZ caught up with him this week.

Artie Lange, a noted comedian and New York Giants fan, wasn’t afraid to make some off-colored jokes about a couple prominent members of the Philadelphia Eagles when he was propositioned by a TMZ camera and reporting crew in Manhattan’s Times Square, in a video posted to TMZ’s YouTube channel on Saturday.

To be clear the conversation began with a question about the Eagles’ recent acquisition of high-profile free agent quarterback Tim Tebow before Lange himself changed the subject not so subtly.

Lange is best known for his work on Mad TV and The Howard Stern Show, though he now hosts his own sports and entertainment radio show The Artie Lange Show.

Lange was caught in a situation, where unlike his show, he could say whatever he wanted. Though in reality, Lange’s comments could work against him too, if they are taken out of context. They are not egregious in the same way that the comments made by ESPN’s Britt McHenry earlier this month were, though, as Lange was clearly trying to be funny.

In a comedy club no one would think twice. Let’s hope no one thinks Lange crossed a line with his comments to TMZ, even if you don’t like what he said.
