Jimmy Graham thought he was going to the Raiders, and was sad

Tight end Jimmy Graham thought he was going to the Oakland Raiders, and that made him really sad.
The New Orleans Saints decided this offseason to trade superstar tight end Jimmy Graham. He wound up with the Seattle Seahawks but at first thought he was going to be an Oakland Raider.
“At first I thought I was going to the Raiders, so I was very sad,” Graham said. “But then I heard it was Seattle and I couldn’t be any happier.”
Could you blame Graham for feeling that way? To go from the Saints, a team that has won a Super Bowl recently and is typically a regular contender in the NFC though not as much lately, to a team that has been a bottom dweller in the NFL for a decade would be rough.
The comments came from Graham during an event were the Seahawks served fans in order to raise money and awareness for autism, a cause important to Seattle’s general manager John Schneider, who has a son with autism.
You can watch the entire clip covering the event below, but we’ve set it to start around the 30 second mark when Graham makes the comments.
