Things are getting chippy in Game 5 between the Bulls and Cavaliers, and it caused Taj Gibson to be removed from the game

Throughout the entirety of the series between the Bulls and Cavaliers we’ve seen these two teams get chippy with one another from time to time. Well on Tuesday night, that trend continued, although this time it resulted in the ejection of Taj Gibson.

Early in the fourth quarter of this one with the Cavaliers seemingly trying to pull away, Gibson and Matthew Dellavedova began to get tangled up. Well, this eventually led to the Cavaliers star hitting the ground, and that’s when Gibson kicked him.

After the officials went to take a look at what happened, Gibson was called for a Flagrant 2, which means that Taj Gibson’s night had to come to an end. He calmly said bye to his teammates and headed to the showers.

However, while kicking a player is never excused, as Chris Webber pointed out on the broadcast, Dellavedova tangled with Gibson first while he was on the ground, which prompted Gibson to lose his cool. Pretty heads-up move by Dellavedova.

Now the Bulls might be in some serious trouble. With Pau Gasol already out, they need to go the rest of the way in this one without Taj Gibson.
