Have you ever just wanted something so bad that you didn’t care what it took to snag it, even if it meant possibly getting caught? One soccer fan knows exactly how you feel as he was caught on live television stealing an iPad in the least sly way imaginable.
Usually, when someone steals something, they make it seem sneaky or do the best job they can not to get caught, but this guy is the ultimate bonehead.
A fan of Argentina’s Independiente walked up to the press conference desk after the team’s 1-1 draw with Boca Juniors and clearly swiped the iPad, thinking there was no possible way people would realize what he was doing.
One camera even caught the entire thing unfolding, getting a clear shot of the man’s face as he walked by unsuspecting reporters.
According to Mirror:
"After Independiente’s 1-1 draw with Boca Juniors on Sunday night one fan wanders into the press room and tries to craftily steal an iPad – that had presumably been left unattended by a reporter.Fans who are members of the club are allowed into press conferences after the game but what the fan – wearing an Independiente jacket – hadn’t realised was that Fox Sports were doing a live broadcast literally right in front of him."
This is almost too ridiculous to be true because it seemed like the guy looked right into the camera when he shoved the iPad in his Independiente jacket before walking out, sipping on what seems to be coffee.
Sly move, iPad thief.
