Basketball prospect hits his chin on the rim

Humanity may have reached a new phase.

There was once a time when there were no seven-footers in the NBA. Now the league is populated with them; it would be a huge surprise if there was even one NBA team bereft of a seven-foot player.

We may be saying the same thing years from now about players who can hit their chin on the rim.

The following is a video of a basketball player hitting his chin on the rim of a regulation hoop.

Not on some Fisher Price child’s hoop with the rim down to five feet. A real, fully extended basketball hoop.

As Bruno Mars might say, don’t believe me just watch:

According to Bleacher Report, the dunker in question “appears to be” Jecoby Bush, a junior at Clear Spring High School in League City, Texas.

Future150.com lists Bush as a 3-star recruit standing 6’8” and checking in at 180 pounds. The website also describes him as a “freak athlete that can finish well above the rim,” whose “leaping ability has also made him into an imposing shot-blocker.” I’d say so.

Bush won’t have to look hard to have a skill he can market to college coaches. John Calipari is drooling right now.
